Monday, May 15 at 5pm: show up at Senator Wyden’s office to sound the alarm and demand an independent commission to investigate Trump.

Before May 19, This is the deadline for Senators to sign this year’s “Dear Appropriator” letters to support funding for the Library Services and Technology Act and the Innovative Approaches to Literacy program.  Ask your senator to support federal funding for libraries. Tuesday, May 30, 6pm.  First Unitarian Church of Portland, 1011 SW 12th Ave. Portland.  Join Congressman Earl Blumenauer for his public forum to support universal health care. Presentation sby T.R. Reid, author of Healing of America; State Senator Michael Dembrow; State Representative Alissa Keny-Guyer, Dr. Samuel Metz of Oregon Physicians for a National Health Program, and Dr. Paul Gorman of Health Care for All Oregon (moderator). Doors open at 5pm.

Email Portland Mayor Wheeler to support the continued public ownership of Buckman Field at the old Monroe School Site.  This is a piece of rare open land that has been publically owned for over 100 years.  It is at risk for being sold to a private developer.
